BAW STATEMENTS OF PRINCIPLE

(1) CASH DONORS may choose to settle one or more bills directly with the concerned clinic(s). Serious donors shall be presented with copies from the clinic of the actual bills detailing the nature of expense and may choose to settle selectively at their pleasure. Licensed veterinarians shall be obliged to explain the nature and extent of treatment to justify the bill(s).
(2) THE DOGS that required veterinary treatment were rescued dogs usually placed under foster care. However, BAW also assists less capable owners (senior citizens, PWDs, and the less privileged members of the society) of dogs-in-distress which have been retained by the same owners.
(3) THE AMOUNTS stated on the bills are for BAW rescued/assisted dogs (whether placed under foster care or retained by owner) which required treatment in a veterinary clinic. SETTLING a particular bill opens up fresh credit opportunity for future rescued /assisted dogs to have the chance and opportunity to avail of emergency veterinary treatment.
(4) THAT IS THE REASON WHY we do not have to credit any bill with any dog in particular since we do not want to appraise each dog in monetary terms -- by the number of pesos spent/incurred on them, after all THEY ARE NOT FOR SALE -- they deserve more than that. THEREFORE, if any of these dogs shall be offered for adoption and prospective adopter might be required to settle a bill, adopter could not protest to this effect: "the bill is too much, it would be cheaper to buy another dog," because that would be an insult to the dog. THAT ONLY PROVES that the dog does not deserve that adopter -- come sickness of the dog, this would-be owner will surely scrimp and complain.
