Choco, the Brave Shih Tzu Who Fought Demodectic Mange Now Adopted

THIS IS THE STORY-IN-PROGRESS OF CHOCO, the adorable 6-year-old female Shih Tzu from San Carlos Heights which is afflicted by Demodectic Mange.

CHOCO'S OWNER had to beg off from taking care of her any longer because of her condition which coincided with a grandchild who is also ailing from eczema.

BAGUIO ANIMAL WELFARE had to assume custody of the poor dog to have her taken care of by volunteer-advocates in a temporary shelter home, and continue her treatment and maintenance until a kindhearted person can adopt her to be his/her furkid for life.

WHILE IN THE CARE of the fosterers, Choco has to undergo treatment and cleansing for her mange.

SHE NEEDED HELP to ensure her continued recovery and regain her once beautiful and healthy skin and fur coat.

CHOCO NEEDED DONATIONS at the start:
(1) in CASH which may be paid directly to the veterinary clinic;
(2) in KIND like Immunol, Amitraz Shampoo, Superdog Soap, Love Drops, Multivitamins, Solution, Dog Food, and the likes.

ON JULY 14, CHOCO was adopted by a nursing student of the University of the Cordilleras, who resides in Betag, La Trinidad, Benguet.
He committed to continue the treatment of Choco, and endorsed her to Animal Haven in Km6. The adopter signed the BAW Pet Adoption Agreement as a commitment to ensure the welfare of Choco for life.

Story of Aspins Barney & Barbie Living Underneath Abandoned House

THIS IS THE STORY of Aspin puppies, we named BARNEY and BARBIE, canine siblings left by their previous owners who have sold their house in Barangay East Modern Site, Baguio City. The dogs have been living in fear and isolation underneath an abandoned house dependent only on the food given by concerned neighbors.

Their sorry plight was reported to us by a concerned dog lover for fear that they may fall victim to dog meat hunters.

THEY WERE IMMEDIATELY RESCUED by advocates of the Baguio Animal Welfare and were turned over to a temporary foster care in the house of one of the advocates, while they were pending for adoption of responsible fur parents.

THE PUPPIES were probably around 6 months old and are still requiring nourishment. They do not appear to be suffering from any ailment.
